MH Outlanders Appearance ID – How to Share & Import Character Codes
Updated . An appearance ID (身だしなみID) is the character creation code Japanese guides say you share from the hunter editor and type in with Import. GameWith and Gamerch describe a Share button that produces an image with the ID on it. The official English site, the official launch FAQ, and the Google Play listing checked on 1 November 2026 do not describe this screen. On those pages it is Not announced.
Where to find your own appearance ID
GameWith says the Share button on the character-creation screen produces a screenshot that includes the appearance ID. Gamerch says the same control sits at the top right, issues an image, and prints the ID on that image. That image is the place those guides say you read your own code. A separate text export, a profile field, or an English button name is Not announced.
Gamerch’s path back to the editor is マイページ, then 交流, then 身だしなみ. From there you tap + or an existing avatar and then edit. Gamerch says you cannot open that editor without a 身だしなみチケット (appearance voucher). GameWith describes the same マイページ → 交流 → 身だしなみ path, and a second path that starts in the menu: Shop, item exchange, then the pouch (オタカラ tab), then the set you want to change.
The first look is set when you start. Game8 says character creation begins when the opening story ends. GameWith says you choose sex and then adjust the base appearance. Game8 calls the bodies Type 1 (male) and Type 2 (female). English labels for マイページ, 交流, 身だしなみ, シェア, and 導入 are Not announced, so this page keeps the Japanese words the guides print.
How to share a character creation code
GameWith says pressing Share (シェア) on the creation screen shares a screenshot that contains the appearance ID, and that you can send that image to friends or post it. Gamerch says the top-right Share button issues the image, the ID is written on the image, and another player types that ID on their own creation screen.
A launch-day writeup of an UZU_MH session says Import and Share sit in the top bar of Create Adventurer, next to Reset, on every editor page from Appearance through Makeup. That video does not open either button, so the writeup does not confirm whether Share makes an image, a text code, or a link. The image-with-ID description comes from GameWith and Gamerch, not from an official post and not from that video.
How to import an appearance ID
GameWith says the 導入 control on the creation screen loads a recipe when you enter an appearance ID. Gamerch says you open the creation screen and press 導入 at the top right to call up a look someone else made. Neither guide prints an English label for 導入. “Import” on this page is the usual translation of that word, not an official UI string.
Whether the ID is case-sensitive is Not announced. The official launch FAQ does say gift codes (CDKeys) are case-sensitive, and that those codes go in Event Center → second tab → CDKey Redemption. That is a different screen from appearance import. Do not type an appearance ID into CDKey Redemption, and do not type mho1029 into 導入.
Whether a Type 1 ID loads onto a Type 2 body, or the reverse, is Not announced. GameWith says editing a set you already saved cannot change sex. A different sex needs an empty slot and a new creation.
Limits the guides report
GameWith says you can store up to 10 appearance sets. The first slot is free. Later sets, and edits after creation, spend an appearance voucher. GameWith, Game8, and Gamerch each say a voucher costs 150 Rutacoins in the shop’s item exchange. All three say one voucher comes from pre-registration rewards. GameWith says that free voucher is delivered by mail.
Game8 says Rutacoins also come from daily adventure proposals and quest rewards, so exchanging one for a voucher does not require a purchase. Game8’s redo steps are: buy the voucher, open the pouch, tap use, then pick the set in use or an empty set. Game8 says either choice spends a voucher, and also says the voucher is not spent unless you tap 保存して適用 (save and apply) at the end. GameWith says that if you open マイページ → 交流 → 身だしなみ with no voucher, the game sends you to buy one.
Game8 lists what the creator edits: sex, a default layered outfit (11 options on Type 1, 9 on Type 2), appearance (skin, hair set, body), the whole face (outline, brows, eyes, nose, mouth), and makeup (brows, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lashes, pupils, blush, lip gloss, paint, and beard). GameWith’s sex article says the beard control exists only on the male body. GameWith also says you cannot set a voice; the voice only differs by sex. An official list of sliders is Not announced.
GameWith treats layered armor as a separate way to change equipment looks without rebuilding the face. Game8 says Buddies do not get this character creator. Whether a Buddy has an appearance ID is Not announced. Game8 says a Buddy’s look can still change with layered outfits.
An expiry date on an appearance ID, a limit on how many people can import one code, and whether a code from one region imports on another region’s servers are Not announced. Garena’s Hunting FAQ says server data is independent and character data cannot be transferred between regions. That sentence is about the account, not about typing an appearance ID.
A few IDs printed by Gamerch
Gamerch prints these four strings in its appearance-recipe tables and labels each row “Xのポスト” (an X post). The article text does not include the post URL or the poster’s name. A copy control on that page is labeled コピー; that word is not part of the ID. This site has not imported any of them. Rows Gamerch labels with a character from another series are left off this page. More codes are on the Gamerch article itself.

Not announced
- An official English, Japanese, or Garena page that names 身だしなみID, Share, or Import. Checked on 1 November 2026: the English official site, the official launch FAQ, and the Google Play listing. The Play listing does link the official X account (@MHO_English) and a Discord invite. No citable post from those accounts describing an appearance ID turned up in this check, so an official social explanation is Not announced.
- English names for マイページ, 交流, 身だしなみ, シェア, 導入, and 身だしなみチケット.
- Whether Share also copies a plain-text code, or only the image GameWith and Gamerch describe.
- Whether appearance IDs are case-sensitive, expire, or work across Type 1 and Type 2.
- Whether an appearance ID imports on a different regional server. Garena’s note that character data cannot move between regions is not a statement about these codes.
FAQ
What is a Monster Hunter Outlanders appearance ID?
Japanese guides call it 身だしなみID: a character creation code for a hunter’s look. GameWith and Gamerch say Share puts that code on an image, and 導入 loads the look when you type the code in. The official English site, the launch FAQ, and the Google Play listing do not document it. On those pages it is Not announced. Where do I find my MH Outlanders appearance ID?
GameWith and Gamerch say you read it on the image from the Share button on the character-creation screen. Gamerch’s route to that screen is マイページ, then 交流, then 身だしなみ, then + or an avatar, then edit, and only if you have an appearance voucher. An official menu path in English is Not announced. How do I import a character creation code?
GameWith says you enter the appearance ID from 導入 on the creation screen. Gamerch says 導入 is at the top right of that screen. This is not the CDKey box. Gift codes go in the Event Center, which the official launch FAQ describes separately, and that FAQ does not mention appearance IDs. How many looks can I save, and what does a voucher cost?
GameWith says up to 10 sets, with the first slot free and later sets or edits spending an appearance voucher. GameWith, Game8, and Gamerch say the voucher costs 150 Rutacoins, and that pre-registration includes one voucher. Game8 says the voucher is not spent unless you tap save and apply. An official price is Not announced. Sources: https://gamewith.jp/mhoutlanders/575552 and https://game8.jp/mhoutlanders/784152
Can an appearance ID change my hunter’s sex?
Not by editing a set you already saved. GameWith says sex is fixed on an existing set and a different sex needs an empty slot. Game8 calls the bodies Type 1 (male) and Type 2 (female). Whether a code made on one type imports on the other is Not announced. Sources: https://gamewith.jp/mhoutlanders/575552 and https://game8.jp/mhoutlanders/784152
Do appearance IDs expire, and do they move between servers?
Expiry, a use limit, and cross-region import are Not announced. Garena’s Hunting FAQ says character data cannot be transferred between regions. That is about the account, not about these codes. Source: https://mho.garena.com/en/news/MDTQCH?categoryId=3
